Rave Review of Our Artists
"I can't say enough about Maryelle and her team! I am a wedding planner...I called Maryelle on the Friday evening of EASTER weekend after my original make-up artist for an out-of-town bride got the flu and cancelled the trial. Maryelle was so fantastic, working with me right away to find an artist to do an in-home trial for my bride on EASTER SUNDAY. She was responsive and listened to the needs and requests of my bride to find the best artist match for her. Kelsey came to the rescue and was a perfectly balanced and sweet professional and her work was SO beautiful. She teamed with Colby and they were both a smash hit with the bride and her 'maids and mom. They were on time, came fully prepared and had a relaxed, fun vibe. Having the combination of talent and care/customer service is what makes Maryelle Artistry top notch - I can't recommend them more!!"

Behind the Brush: With Anya Taylor Joy of "The Witch"
Yesterday I was on location with Anya Taylor Joy at the House of Seven Gables in Salem, MA for her PA tour for The Witch. From the reviews and her account, the movie is absolutely terrifying! And what an appropriate setting to be doing her makeup! Salem, known for their witch trials, is now a witch haven of sorts. The house we were in was built in 1668 and served as inspiration for Nathaniel Hawthorne's book, The House of Seven Gables. It is now a museum and is, by all reports yesterday, haunted.
Anya and I were quite terrified when we learned that!
Artist Feature: Sharon Holston for Boston Magazine
Maryelle Artistry team member Sharon Holston rocked a steamy, scandalous shoot for Boston Magazine, on stands now! The article, "This is How We Do It," discusses the sex lives and habits of Bostonians and is a juicy read. Sharon brought her creative eye to the set to give the models a sultry and sensual look. Bravo!

The Revenant with Will Poulter
My new poster has just arrived from the tour I did in Boston with Will Poulterfor the new movie “The Revenant” with Leonardo DiCaprio.
The International Business Times says the gory scenes have audiences split and according to the Hollywood Reporter, some that attended advanced screenings of the film even walked out because of the blood. However there is one thing that everyone appears to agree on – DiCaprio’s performance is worthy of the Oscar buzz.
See it!!....Full release January 8th, 2016.

Behind the Brush: With Annie Liebovitz and Doris Kearns Goodwin
Working with Annie Leibovitz made for a day filled with excitement and lightness. It was a busy day and I needed to move swiftly to get the makeup and hair done for the lovely Doris Kearns Goodwin, Richard Goodwin, and many more. The photographer is generally the one who sets the mood for the day and Annie has a genuine ease and comfort about her. This shoot was busy, with many shots to be achieved. Annie set a sense of comfort and tranquility throughout the day and also a sense of joy and enthusiasm. She has this incredible ability to create calmness in the room no matter how busy it gets or how many people are in it. It is clear to see how she has the ability to captures intimate moments with her subjects as she has done with so many celebrities. Check out some of our "behind-the-scenes" shots from our day!

Edwin Medrano, the hotel beekeeper loves his job!...he’s knowledgeable and passionate about his rooftop hives with 1,000,000 bees that work hard to put the honey on your breakfast table! Richard Rayment, head chef and his staff cooks up some delicious meals for you to enjoy then you can head over to see Mariama Jordan, the fitness director who helps you spin off all those yummy calories.

Behind the Brush: Cast of "Jem and the Holograms"
From the 1980’s cartoon, Jem and the Halograms is a blast from the past with big makeup, big hair and all PINKED out !!! Growing up, director Jon Chu's sister loved the cartoon and forced him to watch it with her. Who could have known that eventually he would take his sister’s favorite cartoon series and turn it into a live action movie in 2015!
I had an amazing time working with this cast! Check out the movie.... in theaters NOW!
